Swiss Car- and Elevator Manufacturing S.A Schlieren
The SCHLIEREN brand is inextricably linked to the development of Swiss railways and elevator systems. “Wagi,” as the company was popularly known, was the largest employer in the region and carried the city’s name with its products all over the world. Since 2017, the small but fine museum has been providing insights into the company's milestones and offering a special ambience for banquets, aperitifs and events.

The WAGI Museum collects, preserves and documents the products of the former Swiss Wagons and Elevators Factory AG Schlieren. The permanent exhibition provides insights into everyday factory life and the company's early days. Attached to the museum is the company archive with over 15,000 documents and archives.
Guided tours
Discover the milestones of the Swiss Wagons and Elevator Factory AG Schlieren in the WAGI Museum. Our guides will take you on a journey from the founding era to the company closure. Groups can book tours on individual days and outside opening hours. A tour lasts 90 minutes.
Your event
Use our small but fine event hall for your event. The museum can also be rented outside opening days for banquets, company events, aperitifs or events. Our in-house restaurant can serve a maximum of 60 people. We would be happy to help you plan and implement an event.
